Hunky-Dory

I designed and self-built a 50-foot ketch. My wife, Joan, and I cruised the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans for three years. Ocean cruising can only be appreciated by experience. Pictures and text gives a hint of what it's like. On this adventure, we only took low quality snapshots. These photos were scanned from our photo album and converted to paint format with artistic  paint program. This was some help to the quality.

Building the Hunky-Dory
The construction site was a short distance (500-feet) from the Panama Canal. I was employed by the Panama Canal Company.
