Yaviza, Panama to Turbo, Columbia

Up the Tuira River to Paya. The first two photos show the merging of the Chucunaque and Tuira Rivers. The water level is controlled by the tide. We flew over the route from Panama City to Atrato, River, Columbia, stopping at some villages. Every village has an air strip. We decided it is much easer to travel by dugout canoe. The rivers end near the boarder.
